Suburgatory

Guest post of the week by Moises Henderson

There’s a new sitcom on directv this Fall called Suburgatory. It’s about a father and daughter who move to the suburbs after he realizes that New York City is no place to raise a teenager. It’s so strange to watch the show because Jeremy Sisto plays the father and he was also one of the main characters in one of my favorite movies of all time, Clueless. Clueless came out back in the 90’s when I was a teenager so the fact that Sisto is playing the father of a teenager really makes me feel old. Granted, he would have had to be pretty young when he had her, but the fact that they would cast him in that role is bothersome enough. In the movie Clueless, he played a too cool for school high school student who wanted to date Cher, the main character played by Alicia Silverstone. He actually doesn’t look that much different than he did in the 90’s; he may even look better. I sure hope I age that well, but men seem to be way luckier in that department.
